Penny Ashton - Director
Penny is the founder of Penny Ashton Property Management Ltd and has planned and undertaken the development of the company over the last twenty two years. She remains heavily involved in the business and has overall responsibility for all areas. She has an energetic approach which is coupled with a high level of integrity ensuring Penny Ashton has become the No 1 lettings agency in Manchester. In her spare time Penny enjoys keeping fit, travelling and increasing her portfolio of investment properties.
John Browning - Lettings Negotiator
John is one of the newest members of the team but his confident and easy going nature has already established him as an office favourite. John has always had a keen eye for negotiating a deal and these skills are used daily in his role at Penny Ashton.
Chris Buckley - Senior Administration Manager
A long standing member of the team, Chris has enjoyed a successful career at Penny Ashton. In 2007 he was promoted to the position of Senior Administration Manager as a result of his strong company knowledge and leadership skills. Chris oversees all areas of property management. He is also working towards his NAEA and ARLA professional qualifications.
John-Paul Case - Manager
After graduating in law from Sheffield Hallam University John-Paul applied for a masters course in Broadcast Journalism. However, he took a temporary job within the property sector and found that he enjoyed it so much that he remained within this sector.
He joined Opal Estates, working from the retail office where he managed 3 of the major city centre developments catering for both Student and Professional living. Some months after securing a promotion John Paul moved on to become the Manager here at Penny Ashton. He now leads a team of 16 people where his role incorporates HR responsibilities, Advertising, Interviewing, Strategic Development of the Company, Improving the Company Turnover, Making New Business Contacts ...
John-Paul has overseen substantial growth in the turnover of the business following his arrival and his brief is to ensure Penny Ashton becomes the most successful letting agent in Manchester.
Maria Case - New Tenancy Co-ordinator
After completing her Politics degree, Maria has taken up a temporary work experience position at Penny Ashton. She brings with her a strong customer service background and a good work ethic. We hope Maria will enjoy her time with the company and perhaps pursue a career in property.
Dawn Hickey - Tenancy Deposit Scheme Specialist
Dawn started at Penny Ashton in November 2007 and has already established herself as a vital part of the admin department. Dawn deals with tenants once a property has been let by overseeing the referencing process and move ins. Dawn lists Starbucks amongst her previous employers. She is a keen football and rugby fan and plays whenever possible.
Ann Mason - Accounts
Having joined in June 2007 Ann works part time as a member of the PAPM Ltd Accounts team. Ann is responsible for tenants and contractors accounts where she posts rents and payments on a daily basis. Ann enjoys walking, swimming and keeping fit at the gym. Ann also likes a good read and a funny comedy at the theatre.
Hannah Massey - New Tenancy Co-ordinator
Hannah started with the company in July 2008 in a Junior Administration role. Hannah has previosuly studied for and gained 3 A Levels from Marple College. She quickly progressed within the company and became responsible for all tenant move ins. Her long term goal is to go to university and study radiography.
Alastair McNair - Lettings Negotiator
Alastair has firmly established hismelf as a legend within the PAPM office. He initially joined the company for a short six week period in early 2007 as a personal favour to the manager before going on a pre-planned trip around the world.
Alastair quickly developed a taste for the lettings industry and fantastic results led to him being offered a job on his return. Alastair accepted the full time position back in October of 2007
Suzi Mottram - Admin Team Member
In October 2005 Suzi Mottram joined the company in her current position. She is responsible for her own portfolio of designated properties dealing with general property management issues including rent collection, maintenance reports and property inspections. In her spare time Suzi is a member of a band called Bone-Box and regularly gigs around Manchester. Her band can be located on www.bone-box.com
Tom Neary - Lettings Co-ordinator
After completing his A-Levels, Tom decided to pursue a career in property. Having previously worked as referencing manager he progressed into the 'New Business Department'.
Tom deals directly with landlord feedback and the vast number of enquiries that PAPM receives on a daily basis and when he's not doing this he is a keen club tennis player. His real passion lies in football which he both plays to a high standard and coaches. He is presently working towards his FA coaching badges.
James Perry - Senior Lettings Negotiator
James joined the company in April 2006 as a Lettings Negotiator. After completing a HND in Construction and Property Management James has now embarked on an RICS accredited degree couse in Property Management and Investment. The company is also helping James work towards his NAEA and ARLA qualifications.
At 29 James is certainly not getting any younger and a few grey hairs have appeared. His passion for property however has shone through and recently led to an in house promotion to the role of Senior Lettings Negotiator.
Jane Sheil - Senior Accounts Team Member
Jane is a key member of the finance department at Penny Ashton. She maintains the company's financial reporting systems and external banking arrangements ensuring that they are consistent with the demands of the growth of the company. Jane has attended various courses on property lettings and accounts and continues to excel in her position.
Chris Sheil - New Tenancy Co-ordinator
Chris is currently a student at Oldham College studying IT and Maths. He has joined the company in a Saturday role to aid the company with in house administration. Chris has expressed an interest in property previously and we are delisghted to have him on board.
Jean Smith - Accounts
Jean is the heartbeat of the office. Employed for 1 day a week not just because of her astronomical wages but instead as a favour to Penny Ashton, Jean coincidentally times her working day with the weekly staff lunch. Jean has been employed previously in a full time role since 1991 however now she is enjoying her semi retirement. She oversees the complaints procedure, bank recs and VAT issues as well as keeping the company up to date with new accounting initiatives.
Emma Stanley - New Business Team Manager
Emma Stanley joined PAPM Ltd in October 2006 as a result of continuing growth within the company.
In October 2007 she was promoted to Team Leader of the New Business Department. Emma lists a broad range of properties to service all our clients needs.
Emma is also working towards her NAEA and ARLA professional qualifications and in her spare time she enjoys going to the gym.
Wendy Tickle - Accounts
A long standing member of the team Wendy has recently qualified as an Accounting Technician. Duties involve posting rents, dealing with bank recs and general purchase ledger responsibilities. Wendy can list the University of Manchester and HBOS amongst her previous employers.
